Bead Curtain leads to a life filled with creativity

Writer's picture: Liz ConstableLiz Constable

When I was 12, I came across a bead curtain.

It set off me off on a creative journey that I could never have predicted.

I'm not going to ramble on too much about this, as I chat about my dalliance* with bead curtains in my up and coming, soon to be published book: RE:CREATE.

I found this photograph of me below that appeared in the Manchester Evening News in 1977!! Sometimes it pays to be a hoarder.....

It was hilarious reading the write up! I would have said I've never used the word super about anything in my life, and yet, there it is in print.....

* By the way, the word dalliance means a period of brief or casual involvement with something. This is the correct use of this word in this case and not to be confused with the other meaning of dalliance; a casual romantic relationship. Therefore, just to be clear, I did not have a romantic relationship with my bead curtain!
